When it comes to the best basketball players to ever step foot on the hardwood, one cannot ignore the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Throughout his career, he has been pretty amazing and continues to do so even at the age of 37-years-old.

He has been one of the only positives from the Lakers’ otherwise poor season. Despite James’ efforts, it is still an uphill battle for the Lakers to turn around their season in the remaining games.

Anyway, today we are not here to talk about LeBron’s career as a player. Instead, our focus will be on LeBron James’ acting career. Yes, you might have already guessed that we are talking about none other than Space Jam 2.

The first movie of the franchise was released way back in 1996. The film starred none other than NBA and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. It was a huge success and many still watch it from time to time to relive their childhood memories.

However, James’ sequel to the popular movie wasn’t that successful. Although it had much better animation, fans just couldn’t stop relating it to MJ’s Space Jam. As usual, LBJ had to live up to high expectations. Unfortunately, this time around the King failed to do so.

So much so, that in the 2022 Razzie Awards, LeBron and Space Jame 2 were nominated for two pretty bad categories.

Space Jam: A New Legacy was nominated for the Worst Picture category and on the same note LeBron was nominated for the Worst Actor category. You can check the rest of the 2022 Razzie Awards nominees in this report by the Daily Mail.

In case, James makes another appearance as an actor, fans will hope that the 4-time NBA champion lives up to that expectation as well as he does on the NBA court.
