The Miami Heat have recently got blown out by the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, 82-102. There’s no doubt that a lot of fans were disappointed with the outcome, as it looked like the Miami Heat were flat out not ready to deliver on the offensive end.

Despite the result, it seems as though Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra isn’t particularly worried. After the game, Erik Spoelstra pointed out that the Miami Heat have “proven” that they can do to the Celtics “whatever they can do to us”. Joe Vardon of The Athletic relayed the news.

The Celtics were up 57-33 at halftime and had pushed it to a 32-point advantage with 7:26 still left in the third quarter. This is the second time this series Miami was completely wiped out in a game. The Heat lost Game 2, 127-102.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra did not seem overly concerned with the outcome.

“We’ve proven it,” Spoelstra said. “Whatever they can do to us, we can do it to them.”

There is no doubt that the Miami Heat are still a good defensive squad that knows how to handle adversity. Obviously, Game 4 did not go how they wanted, but they have the talent and the mentality to bounce back. They will likely do better offensively at home as well, and their role players will shoot better with a home crowd supporting them rather than in a hostile atmosphere in Boston.

This series can still be won by either team, even if some doubt the Miami Heat’s chances to make the Finals. Both teams have a fair amount of talent, and the series is at 2-2, perfectly even. There’s a chance that this could go all 7 games, especially since both teams have a good chance of winning at home. We’ll see who wins the series, but both teams will have to dig deep to come out on top.
