Evan Turner Heavily Disrespected James Harden In A Comparison With Luka Doncic: “Luka Is 38-9-8 In Game 7s, James Is 7-7-6”

• Evan Truner has vehemently taken Luka Doncic over James Harden

• Turner cites the different levels of playoff performances both stars are capable of

• Doncic has only played 28 playoff games to Harden’s 160 games.

James Harden may not have the postseason success a player of his caliber should have, but there’s no denying his influence on the game. The style he pioneered is being championed by many players in the league today, with Luka Doncic being the biggest example.

While comparing Doncic and Harden, Evan Turner and Andre Iguodala discussed the similarities between their styles. While Iggy was upset that people are receiving Luka’s success differently than what they did with Harden, Turner pointed out that it comes down to Luka’s reputation in Game 7 situations.

“The difference between James and Luka. Luka is 38-9-8 in Game Sevens. If I got James Harden, he’s 7-7-6.”

Harden has averaged 22.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game over his playoff career on 42.4% shooting from the field. Meanwhile, Doncic is averaging 32.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game on 47.4% shooting over a much smaller sample size of 28 games.

Who Is Your Pick For Game 7?

Doncic has played in two Game 7’s in his career, averaging 40.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game on 59.2% from the field in those outings. Doncic is 1-1 in Game 7’s.

Harden has a larger but less impressive Game 7 resume, averaging 21.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game on 36.3% from the field in six appearances. Out of those six appearances, Harden has won three games.

It’s clear that Doncic has shown an ability to rise to the challenge in the playoffs more readily than Harden. Some of the games Doncic has had in the playoffs already are mind-blowing, and it was a shame we didn’t get to see him perform in the 2023 Playoffs. We did see Harden perform and were left disappointed by his play yet again.
