The Golden State Warriors did not have a good time in Minnesota as they took on the Timberwolves in a losing effort. The Warriors enjoyed leads throughout the game, but the Wolves came storming back to force OT where they walked out 114-119 winners on the night.

Stephen Curry had a shockingly bad performance in the clutch, not being able to show up when his team needed him the most. He scored just 8 points on 3-11 shooting in the fourth and OT. Fans are coming out to criticize Steph for the performance that cost Golden State the game.

Golden State is flirting with .500 again, with this loss leaving them with a 26-25 record. After a point, fans will have to start getting worried about the sustenance of this Warriors' roster, as they haven't been able to put it together after 50 games into this season.

Do The Defending Champions Need To Buy At The Trade Deadline?

The Warriors have escaped criticism for wanting to keep their future intact while trying to compete for the title. This is mainly because it worked last season but isn't working now. Outside of Jonathan Kuminga, the Warriors shouldn't prioritize keeping the young core together and make win-now moves like trading for Jakob Poeltl to maximize their championship window.

The Warriors have future assets in draft capital as well. It's time they start putting them into trades to try and ensure they can make the most o this season. This performance by Curry was an outlier and not something we see him do regularly. If Curry performs at the level he has this season, the Warriors will feel the heat to make a winning move in the next week.
