It was a rewarding Friday night for the former Los Angeles Lakers player Andre Ingram, who won $31,000 on the game show Wheel of Fortune. He appeared on the show during the “Disney Secret Santa” week, which saw Andre winning and blessing other people with the same amount he earned during the game.

Besides winning a good number for himself, the G League veteran’s earnings were matched for a Wheel Watchers Club member at home, who can claim the prize and get as much as Andre made.

Ingram has had a rather interesting career. On the show, he was asked about his basketball career. When asked about his career, he said:

“I played ten minor league seasons, which is a lot by any standards for the minor leagues in basketball. And I finally got the call up to the Lakers and played two games with them. The first game, a very special game, inspired a lot of people.”

After four years of college basketball, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physics, Ingram was selected by the Utah Flash in the seventh round of the 2007 NBA D League.

The shooter has bounced around the G League for a while but is currently on his fifth stint with the South Bay Lakers.

In 2018, he was called up to the Los Angeles Lakers for the final two games of the 2017-18 season. The Lakers had lost their chance at qualifying for the playoffs, which is one of the reasons they opted to give Ingram a chance.

On his debut, he finished with 19 points while scoring 4 three-pointers on five attempts. Although he came off the bench, he was the second-best scorer behind Josh Hart, who scored 20. But the game ended in a loss for the Lakers against the star-studded Houston Rockets team despite his efforts.

In the final game of the season which ended in a win for the Lakers in the Battle of LA, Ingram struggled from the field, scoring only five points on 2-of-9 shooting. Since then, the shooting guard has not made an appearance in the NBA. Ingram made almost $14,000 in the three days spent with the Lakers. In his entire G league season, he made $19,000.
