LeBron James is in the 20th season of his NBA career. During the past two decades, James has given fans countless moments to celebrate and has broken a plethora of records as well. But like every player in the NBA, there will be a time when LeBron will retire from the league.

Considering he is already 38 years old and still playing at an elite level, he has proven his longevity to most. But apparently, James wants to play until he turns 45 years old. While it’s fun to imagine LeBron staying in the league for almost seven more years, it doesn’t seem realistic.

Anyway, when James retires from the league, the NBA will need to search for a new face to replace the King.

Jason Terry On When LeBron James Retires From The NBA

Over the course of his career, LeBron James has faced many players. One of them was former NBA player Jason Terry. We are sure you remember Jason Terry from James’ iconic dunk over him during his Miami Heat days. So there has always been some bad blood between the two.

Anyway, Terry recently gave an interview for CBS Radio. During the interview, Terry talked about how the league is in good hands even if James retires.

“Our league is so wealthy with young talent from all across the board. Point guard, bigs, now they got these hybrids. Guys that are playing positionless, that’s because of LeBron and the way he’s played, his impact on our game. They’re not just looking for one guy. I think it’s a bevy of guys that carry the torch and take our game into the next millennium. You can go down the list, I can’t name them because it’s probably tampering, but you can go down almost every roster. And there’s one guy on each roster that you can honestly say, like he might be the next one guy. But collectively, as a group, I think this is the most talent this league has ever seen.”

Terry simply believes as of now, the league has several talented superstars who can take over James’ throne when he retires eventually. In a way, he is not wrong about it. But still, the day when James plays his last game in the NBA will be full of tears, and millions of fans will miss LeBron.
