The 2022-23 NBA season is full of amazing teams that are legit contenders to win the title. The Milwaukee Bucks are certainly among those and have proven that by maintaining a good record so far this season.

But even the best of the teams can have off days, and that was certainly the case with the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Bucks against the Houston Rockets. A game that most thought would be a one-sided win for the Bucks ended up having a completely opposite result.

After four quarters of high-tension action, the Rockets registered a 97-92 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks. The defeat led to the Bucks falling to a 19-7 record, which is still good enough to be the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Message To His Teammates

Giannis Antetokounmpo is usually known for hilarious jokes during press conferences or even when he posts something on social media. He recently cracked a joke about the ‘freaky’ gift he could receive on his birthday.

But after the defeat against the Rockets, Giannis was understandably upset. He decided to share that by posting a subtle message to his teammates that may look like a warning as well.

You can’t skip steps. Keep building.

In the defeat, Giannis recorded 16 points, 18 rebounds, and 4 assists while playing 37 minutes. Although Giannis is known for scoring video game numbers, it seems like he had an off-day on the scoring front. However, he did manage to cover it by pulling down 18 rebounds.

Considering Giannis is unarguably the most important asset for the Bucks right now, his message will certainly have an impact on his teammates. The Bucks’ next two games are against the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies, so they need to put this defeat behind them and focus on the next two games. Hopefully, fans will see the best of the 2x NBA MVP in those games.
