Giant Mural On Grass Field Pays Tribute To Kobe Bryant

1 Min Read

Homages to Kobe Bryant keep coming every day and recently we saw one of the most original of them. Pleasanton-based New Ground Technology paid tribute to Los Angeles Lakers sports icon, who tragically passed last Sunday with his 13-year-old daughter, in a helicopter crash.

It is a 115-foot-tall, 92-foot-wide piece that was done in honor of the basketball player who “touched so many lives,” said longtime Pleasanton resident Kelli Pearson. She creates designs for New Ground Technology, while her husband, Pete Davis, created the machine used to make the designs.

The news came as a shock, she said.

“We love Kobe Bryant,” Pearson said.

The responsible for the tribute did not want to reveal the location of it but said it was located one of Pleasanton’s many parks.

After his passing, Kobe has received more and more love and homages from any place around the world. This man inspired and influenced a lot of people on this planet, far beyond the game of basketball.
