Gregg Popovich Says Nikola Jokic Might Be The Best Passer In The League

1 Min Read

26-year-old Nikola Jookic has cemented himself as one of the best big men in the game. With averages of 26.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game on 57% shooting, he has become a favorite for the 2021 NBA MVP.

And while Jokic is already receiving national attention for his play this season, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich recently gave him some high praise, going so far as to suggest he might be the best passer in the game.

Considering the existence of LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Luka Doncic, that’s quite a statement by Pop.

The thing is, it’s not very outlandish at all. The reason why Jokic and the Nuggets have been so successful is largely because of his playmaking. Love him or hate him, Jokic is an undeniably gifted distributor, and it allows his teammates to get consistently good looks on the offensive end.

No doubt, the Joker is a unique talent, and his play this season is some of the best we’ve seen from a big. It’s really no wonder why he’s being considered for the NBA’s MVP.
