Guillermo Asked Steve Kerr An Epic Question During The 2019 NBA Finals: “Are You Excited For Threesome?”

2 Min Read

Back in May/June of 2019, the Golden State Warriors were playing in their fifth consecutive NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Obviously, everybody was trying to get their thoughts about the Finals and what would mean to them winning the NBA title for a third straight year, including Jimmy Kimmel and his public.

Jimmy’s sidekick Guillermo had the chance to interview some Warriors players and their head coach Steve Kerr. Guillermo ‘forgot’ how to say ‘three-peat’ and instead made the interviews a little awkward. With Kerr, though, things were different as the head coach turned things around in an epic exchange.

Guillermo: Are you excited for threesome”Kerr: For what?Guillermo: For a threesome, three years in a rowKerr: Oh yeah you meant three-peat, oh yeah, I’d be excited for either one.

He just pulled that off and everybody went crazy.

Guillermo would ask other players about their impressions on the Finals, repeating the same odd question, getting the same reaction.

In the end, the Warriors didn’t win the title and couldn’t three-peat since the Raptors beat them in six games to win their first-ever NBA championship. It remains unclear if Kerr was luckier off the court but that’s a topic for another time.
