James Harden’s exit from the Brooklyn Nets was quite controversial, considering that Harden only stayed with the organization that he forced a move to for about a year. The Nets Big 3 just never truly got a chance to show what they could do together thanks to injuries to their stars and Kyrie Irving’s issues off the court, which left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of their fans.
Harden’s trade to the Sixers saw him paired up with Joel Embiid, and it was his preferred place to play even when he was leaving the Houston Rockets. So far, in a short span, the duo have looked excellent together and already put up some fine performances for the Sixers.
That’s not to say that absolutely everything has been perfect for Harden, who went through a bit of a hilarious mishap ahead of the team’s win against the New York Knicks on Sunday night. Harden fell into some chairs on the sidelines and had to be helped up during shoot-around. This provided the perfect opportunity for some fans to get their digs in, with Barstool Sports choosing to troll the Beard on Twitter.

This was, of course, a reference to Harden’s hamstring injury in his final days with the Nets, when he missed a number of games before eventually getting traded in a package for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond at the deadline. Even Kevin Durant was reportedly skeptical about the severity of the issue that Harden was facing, among many other fans and media members.
The slightly embarrassing fall clearly had no effect on Harden’s game though, he dominated alongside Embiid, putting up a 29-point triple-double and notching an impressive 5 steals in a comfortable win for Philly. The games both teams are currently playing will likely ramp up to an incredible clash when the Sixers will face the Nets in Philadelphia on March 10th.
