It’s not a secret that despite the doubts and criticism around him, Stephen Curry has had a terrific NBA career. The talented point guard has fought and beaten the odds since he entered the association in 2009. It’s been 12 years since that moment and Chef Curry keeps cooking for the Golden State Warriors, trying to lead his team to compete this season despite not having Klay Thompson by his side.

Curry has gotten used to making history and ever since the Warriors’ first championship run, he’s been part of exclusive lists and has founded some, as well. For instance, back in 2015, Curry was named to the All-NBA First Team. He won the NBA MVP that season, but what he did in the playoff is still remarkable.

During the 2015 NBA playoffs, the point guard led his team to the NBA championship but the journey was really special for him. Curry became the only All-NBA First Team member to beat the rest of the squad on his way to the title. That team was completed by James Harden, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol.

It all started with the New Orleans Pelicans of Anthony Davis. Golden State didn’t have any problems against them, eliminating them 4-0 in the first round of the playoffs. Then, he faced the Memphis Grizzlies led by Marc Gasol and Mike Conley. They had to play harder then and beat the Grizzlies 4-2 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. At that stage, they faced the Houston Rockets that overcame a 3-1 deficit against the Los Angeles Clippers, but the job was pretty easy for the Dubs, who win the series with a gentleman sweep.

In the Finals, they faced LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers. It was a very lopsided series for the Warriors, especially knowing that the Cavs lost Kyrie Irving during the series and Kevin Love didn’t even play a single game.

Curry completed his quest, winning his first of three NBA championships with a 4-2 win over the Cavaliers, doing history with the Warriors, that would start the best period in their history, going to four more Finals and winning two more titles.
