Isaiah Thomas was once an All-Star for the Boston Celtics. He was one of the best scorers in the league during that time. During his best season, Isaiah Thomas put up 28.9 PPG, 2.7 RPG, and 5.9 APG.

There is no doubt that a lot of fans in Boston love the point guard. Many have suggested that the Boston Celtics should reunite with him, and give him a bench role. However, that has not happened.

Isaiah Thomas has recently opened up on a potential Boston reunion, claiming that he’s opened his arms “to try and come back in so many ways”. The point guard added that there have been times where Celtics GM Brad Stevens could “make a call” and give him “an opportunity”, but clearly that hasn’t happened.

I mean I’ve tried to have conversations about that. It’s hard to speak on because I’ve opened my arms to try to come back in so many ways. It’s not even about playing and trying to pick up where I left off. I’m past that moment but I know there’s been times where I can help in that locker room.

“I’m not in there every day so I can’t speak on what’s going on. This is from the outside looking in. But I’ve felt there’s been times where Brad [Stevens] could make a call and give me an opportunity and it hasn’t happened.

As of now, Isaiah Thomas is with the Charlotte Hornets and is a veteran leader for a young squad trying to retain their spot in the play-in tournament. While he hasn’t been given much of an opportunity, it’s likely that his voice is extremely valuable in the locker room.

The Charlotte Hornets have a promising young core, with players like first-time All-Star LaMelo Ball and promising forward Miles Bridges. They look like they could be a potential force in the future, and Isaiah Thomas’ mentorship will be important for the young core’s development.
