LeBron James has been the most famous point forward in NBA history and this year he took that to the next level. Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel used him as a point guard for a big chunk of the season, taking advantage of his playmaking, passing skills, and basketball IQ. Bron is one of the best players in the league but now he’s been ranked as one of the best point guards in the history of the league.

In a recent interview, Isiah Thomas, one of the greatest point guards in the history of the game, talked about his favorites point guards in today’s game (21:20 minute mark).

“You gotta say [Chris] Paul, Curry, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, James Harden, those guys, they’re in the class in elite level by themselves. ‘A’ because they can score the ball, but ‘B’ they show up every night, and ‘C’ there’s a demand from the audience of these guys I just named that you have to do more than just play basketball, you got to give me a show too.”

Zeke said that these players have to give their best every single night to put up a show against fans.

“Like the show that Steph Curry puts on before every game where he will just go out and shoot and the way he goes through his shooting routine, fans show up for his shooting routine. And he never disappoints, he comes on the road, he gives you the show, he gives you the joy, he’s playing. I truly admire what these young guys have done in the NBA and how they’re going about doing it in the creativity that they’re showing.”

He sees LeBron as one of the best players in his position right now. James is not the typical forward, he has the skills and tools to play all five positions on the court, but his talents as a point guard are unmatched. No wonder a lot of people compare him to Magic Johnson instead of Michael Jordan.

Thomas seems to be a fan of Stephen Curry and all the creativity he and the rest of the players show wherever they step on the court.
