During the 1990s, the Chicago Bulls had one of the best teams in the league. The franchise won six NBA Championships and truly dominated the NBA. While the credit for it goes to none other than players like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, and many more, the person who built this team was none other than Jerry Krause.
Krause created the team and made it possible to win six NBA Championships. But his relationship with the team was not that good. It was on clear display during ESPN’s ‘The Last Dance’ documentary that Michael Jordan didn’t see eye-to-eye with Krause. In fact, he didn’t even want Krause to be present at his Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Isiah Thomas Thinks Bulls Players Didn’t Treat Jerry Krause Well
Isiah Thomas was one of the biggest rivals of Michael Jordan. During an interview with ‘The Pivot Podcast,’ Thomas revealed a plethora of things about his relationship with Jordan. In addition to that, Zeke also talked about the things that he didn’t like about MJ and the Bulls. Among them was how Thomas believed that Jordan was a great a*****e and how the entire Bulls team treated Krause with disrespect.

“The way I seen them treat Jerry Krause. Now, imagine you get on your bus, on y’all’s team bus, and the president of the team is sitting there. You walk by the president of the team, and you’re making jokes? And you’re treating him bad? And that’s accepted?… Nowhere in the history of the game have I seen such disrespect for a president or the general manager, even if you don’t like him. … Now, here’s the other thing that’s disappointing; the man is dead. His kids, his family, people watching that, you ain’t gotta do that. I can’t respect that; I can’t respect that. Now the fans and everybody else, aw yeah, Jerry was this, Jerry was that. Well, in the basketball world, Jerry Krause won six championships.”
Regardless of how Krause was as a person, he was certainly a genius at being the general manager of arguably the best dynasty ever created in the history of the NBA. Keeping that in mind, it’s no surprise that Isiah was surprised by the way he was treated by Jordan and the rest of the Bulls.
