Celebrations were in order after the New York Knicks trounced the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1 in the first round of the playoffs, and made the Eastern Conference semifinals for the first time since 2013.

And Josh Hart decided to do just that when he munched on some chicken wings during the postgame press conference, much to the chagrin of Jalen Brunson who had a stern message: “Don’t do this again bro…just stop,” to which the former replied, “I’m just eating…What you mad at me for?”

Brunson and Hart played their part in the Game 5 win. While the former had 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists to show, Hart had 12 rebounds to help New York win 106-95.

Hart was a valuable addition to the Knicks ahead of the trade deadline. His aggressive rebounding and clutch daggers bolstered their side on both ends. So, if he did feel like chowing down some wings, then maybe it’s not a bad thing after all.

Will The Knicks Be Able To Go The Distance?

The Knicks may have won a stern test against Donovan Mitchell and the Cavaliers, but an even more formidable contest awaits when they meet the Miami Heat, who pulled off an upset series win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The only blip for the Knicks is the injury concern to Julius Randle who rolled his ankle off Caris LeVert’s foot just before halftime on Wednesday. He will take some time to get some recovery in, but if he can indeed play Game 1, that’s a promising sign for the Knicks.

All eyes will be on Brunson whose summer signing has paid off rich dividends. His addition makes them bonafide title contenders, much to the dismay of the Dallas Mavericks, who feel they had no fair shot at getting him to extend his tenure with them.

The Heat will take on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
