Jalen Rose Doesn’t Know If Luka Doncic And Dallas Mavericks Can Get Past Memphis Grizzlies In The Playoffs: “I Wouldn’t Say They Would Beat Memphis. I Wouldn’t Go There.”

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are having an absolutely incredible time right now. Since the start of 2022, the Mavericks have a 32-12 record over the league, which would put them alongside the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics for the best records in the calendar year.

The Mavericks have demonstrated an ability to win big games against playoff opposition, having lost only four games to playoff-bound teams this year. They are also one of two teams to have beaten the Ja Morant-less Grizzlies.

After the Mavericks beat the Milwaukee Bucks at full strength, with Doncic leading the team with 32 points and 15 assists, former NBA player Jalen Rose was extremely praiseful of Doncic.

“Luka just dazzles on a nightly basis. He is one of those guys again. when you get confused, we win because we got you. That’s Luka. J-Kidd, just give him the ball and everyone else play D. Finney-Smith, Powell, you catch a lob, run, jump, dunk, and play D. Jalen Brunson, you play smart. He’s going to take care of the ball, play with high IQ, hits his open shots, and gets into the paint. Spencer Dinwiddie has been clutch. But you need to get the ball to Luka.”

However, Rose didn’t entertain his co-host Jacoby suggesting that the Mavs would beat the Memphis Grizzlies in a playoff matchup.

“Against Memphis, Bane and Brooks are going to be guarding Luka 94 feet. I wouldn’t say they would beat Memphis. I wouldn’t go there.”

The Grizzlies are going to be a tough out for any team, but most teams will eye them as an easier matchup due to their lack of playoff experience. The Mavericks are yet to make it out of the first round with Luka, so even they need some winning experience. But Dallas has the tools to beat Memphis in a seven-game series, just as how Memphis has the tools to make sure that doesn’t happen.
