Jalen Rose On Damian Lillard: “He’s A Top 5 Player In This League.”

Damian Lillard is once again proving he’s one of the best players in the NBA. The Portland Trail Blazers point guard is trying to lead his team to the postseason again and perhaps have a deep run, although they’ve suffered the injuries of their second and third-best players.

He has gotten to work and the Blazers are 6th in the Western Conference, fighting to get into the top 4. Dame has played a key role in this situation and people still seem to overlook him. Well, ESPN’s Jalen Rose urged people to stop sleeping on Dame and pay attention to what he’s done during his career and how great he’s been for his team, making a bold claim about the All-Star and his current status in the association.

During a recent edition of the “Jalen & Jacoby” show, the former NBA player-turned-analyst broke down how big Lillard is and his position among the best players in the league right now (2:11 mark).

“Top 5, top 5,” Rose said. “And I know people get confused but let me tell you guys who the top 5 basketball players are in the NBA. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Steph Curry, and Dame Lillard. That’s the top 5, don’t get lazy with the list.”

Well, there are some players that would like to have a say on this list but as usual, this is subjective. Lillard had an impressive stretch a couple of days ago, winning a series of games with the Blazers, leading the league in clutch stats, and confirming he is the real deal.

This man is ready to do his job and he’s not backing down. Right now the Blazers are trying to get their momentum again and Dame Dolla is ready to lead them to the big party again. He hasn’t had a big star as a teammate since 2015 and still keeps his team playing at a competitive level.
