Jamal Crawford Makes A Statement After Pro-Am Cancelation: “Thank You To All Of The Stars Showing Our City Love!”

Jamal Crawford may be retired front the game of basketball, but he is still finding ways to stay relevant in the basketball world.

His latest venture has put Seattle back on the map with the ‘CrawsOver’ Pro-Am league allowing fans in the city to demonstrate their support.

Recently, Crawford put some extra attention on ‘CrawsOver’ in light of LeBron James’ appearance in one of the games this month.

Unfortunately, the game had to be called early due to the condition of the court.

The CrawsOver Pro-Am league game that brought several big names from the NBA was canceled during the second quarter after the court became too slippery to play on. KIRO 7 has seen reports that the reason the game became slick was because it was too humid inside, causing some condensation to build up on the floor.

It was obviously a disappointing turn of events for the many fans who came to attend, but Jamal Crawford provided everyone with an explanation on Twitter, where he made sure to communicate all of his thoughts on the night.

1) I’m sorry for those who couldn’t get in. Truly…

2) I had to make the decision to stop the game to protect the players. Tough, but right decision.

3) Thank you to all of the stars showing our city love!!!!

“Let’s talk about it,” wrote Crawford to one fan. “The humidity was there because someone pulled the fire alarm, and powers that be felt more comfortable with the gym those doors closed. ( which we’ve never done,) but with that, it made the gym a hot box. Which in turn caused condensation.”

SEATTLE!! That was SPECIAL yesterday!! WHOA . Even with us having to stop play because of things we couldn’t control! I appreciate the love and hospitality towards me and my folks who came along for the show! to @JCrossover @DejounteMurray @isaiahthomas.

Kudos to Crawford for owning up to the moment and speaking directly to the fans. He kept it real and honest and proved why so many around the league respect him.

Hopefully, next time the opportunity arises, the game will be free from any troubles, so both the fans and players get to enjoy the experience.
