Jamal Murray: “I’m Not In Game Shape. If Someone’s In Game Shape Here, Man, They’re Doing Something They Shouldn’t Be Doing.”

Everybody is getting ready for the NBA return next July 30. Plenty of players went through a body transformation to be the best version of themselves when the NBA returns but there is something they still need to do. After four months of inactivity, every single player has to recover the shape they had before the league entered hiatus.

Denver Nuggets’ Jamal Murray is well aware that once everything begins, not everybody will be in ‘game shape’ and that will be a process for everybody. Via Ohm Youngmisuk, Murray claimed that nobody in the league was in game shape, hinting that whoever tells otherwise is doing something they shouldn’t.

“I’m not in game shape. If someone’s in game shape [here], man, they’re doing something they shouldn’t be doing,” Murray said.

He is waiting until the competition starts to recover his form. Meanwhile, he sticks to his routine at the bubble, which includes playing video games and watching Netflix.

“Eat some food. Play video games. Watch Netflix. Play basketball. Sleep. And repeat.”

Denver is one of the teams that can make some noise this NBA season. They were one game away from reaching the Conference Finals last season and this year they have more pressure on their shoulders. Sure, the Lakers and Clippers are the favorites to win it all in the West, but right behind them, Murray, Nikola Jokic and co. are trying to make their way to the Finals.
