James Harden Explains Why He Is The Best Player In The NBA

2 Min Read

There is a lot of controversy surrounding James Harden and his approach to the game of basketball. He exploits the rules to his advantage and, love it or hate it, it’s effective.

But Harden is much more than a foul-drawing magnet. He can do just about anything on the court and fully believes that he’s the best player in the NBA.

” I feel like I’m the best player. Throughout the course of the year, I just don’t see double-teams for anybody else, maybe Dame when he’s on an amazing stretch. But usually, you see a double team after you have a fifty-point night or a sixty-point night. If I have an 18 point night, the next game I’m seeing a double-team — which is pretty cool, the NB Ahas never seen it before at half-court. So I’m just trying to figure out ways to be great in that. But you don’t see another player that’s getting double-teamed, so.”

Indeed, it seems teams are doing everything in their power to slow down James Harden. On track to win a third-straight scoring title, the Beard has NBA defenses on edge with his skill.

Whether or not he’s really the best player is debatable, but he certainly belongs in the conversation. This season alone, he’s averaging 35 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per game.

If that’s not among the best seasons ever, than what is?
