James Harden is bent on coming to Hollywood after his stint with the Philadelphia 76ers. The mercurial guard is determined to link up alongside Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook and ply his trade for the LA Clippers in the 2023-24 season.

According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, sources close to Harden told the insider that he still wants to leave Philly.

“Harden’s stance has not changed, a source close to him told The Athletic. He still wants to leave Philadelphia. He’s still upset with how Morey handled his situation heading into possible free agency last month. And even with the recent revelation that Harden attended the same NBPA party as Sixers co-star Joel Embiid and former Sixers owner Michael Rubin in Vegas, he’s still determined to start next season in a Clippers jersey.”

The Clippers will form a super four alongside the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors should they manage to get Harden in their ranks after he requested a trade out of Philadelphia earlier.

This comes on the back of the Clippers refusing to add Terence Mann, their draft picks, or even Norman Powell in a potential Harden trade.

But that said, Harden has been looked at as a potential candidate for the Clippers, and while there’s a bit of stagnation now, big stars often get their way, and sooner or later, he will land with the Clippers.

Joel Embiid Reacts To James Harden’s Trade Request Out Of The Sixers

James Harden’s MVP Sixers teammate Joel Embiid minced no words when he said he was disappointed with the fact that ‘The Beard’ wanted to exit the franchise.

Speaking to Rachel Nichols, he said:

“Disappointed. Then again, I also understand that it’s business. People make decisions and I am more appreciative of the way he’s handled the whole situation. We are going to be boys forever. I want him to come back so we can go out and accomplish what we want, which is to win a championship. So hopefully, his mindset can be changed.”

“Other than that, I am so happy to be his friend. We’re close and we’ve grown since he got here and that’s what I am excited about. I’m excited to keep our friendship for the rest of our lives.”

Harden averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists in the regular season and had some big playoff performances, but the Sixers failed to get across the line, and now he believes the Clippers will be where he may finally get a chance to win his first championship.
