After they landed James Harden in a 4-team blockbuster trade, the Brooklyn Nets were surrounded by doubts about their new Big 3 and how good or bad they would fare this 2020/21 NBA season.
Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant weren’t perceived as the most humble players in the world but they have shown they’re trying to win and not just become the star of a team with two big players already. They are trying to win it all and they’re willing to make the sacrifices to achieve their goal.
That is why Kyrie Irving recently explained he had made it clear to James Harden that he would play as a shooting guard while the Beard could act like the point guard of the team, a role he has fulfilled without any problem so far.
Moreover, Harden recently talked about that conversation, explaining that the duo can do a lot of things on the court and even though they didn’t have Kevin Durant on the court, the Nets didn’t have any problems beating the Sacramento Kings.
Harden said that given their talents, he and Kyrie can be scorers and playmakers, which makes things easier for Brooklyn in their quest for the NBA championship.
“At the end of the day, we’re both playmakers, we’re both scorers,” Harden told reporters.

He recorded a triple-double for the New Yorkers while his teammate dropped 40 points on the Kings, demonstrating they are ready to carry this team even without KD on the floor. The future is bright for this team and although their defense remains their weakest point, Brooklyn has plenty of reasons to believe they can win this season.
