James Harden Talks To Young Players, Gives Them Advice On Work Ethic In Basketball

To find success as an NBA player, athletes need to dedicate themselves fully to the sport of basketball. The NBA is the best basketball league in the world by some distance, so it goes without saying that it boasts some of the best players in the world.

Throughout the years, we have seen and hear success stories about players in the league. While these stories are always good to hear, aspiring players need to understand how much hard work goes into it.

Countless hours spent in the gym, the weight room, running drills, and getting better at the game. Like most things in life, becoming an excellent basketball requires a lot of sacrifices. This is why only a select few are able to reach the NBA.

Players like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and many more have spoken about the immense work and sacrifice they put into making their careers and ambitions a reality. And this mindset has to come through from an early age.

This is the message that Brooklyn Nets star James Harden recently gave to some young basketball players. During a recent training session, Harden encountered some very young players and saw that they weren’t playing as hard as possible.

In an NSFW clip, Harden can be seen telling the children that they need to work extremely hard to become great at basketball. If you’re not covered in sweat after a session, then you’re not doing something right. Harden sent a message to the kids that they will remember for the rest of their lives. 

There are a lot of naturally talented and gifted players that are never able to make it to the league. There is a popular saying; ‘hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard enough’. These words are especially true when it comes to basketball.
