Russell Westbrook will be in the middle of the storm next season. The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a trade in the offseason to bring Russ to the Lakers, effectively forming a big three with Westbrook, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis.

Russ becomes the second former MVP on the team alongside James and the third All-Star for the Lakers. For Westbrook, his move to Los Angeles brings him back to his hometown and puts him on a definitive championship contender for the first time since his days in Oklahoma City.

James and Westbrook have been friends in the NBA for quite some time and will relish the chance to play with each other. As of now, we haven’t seen them play together on a team aside from All-Star games and the 2012 Olympics.

LeBron has made it a habit in his career to help his teammates get opportunities they normally would not find so easy.

Most recently, he played a hand in Anthony Davis getting a role in his movie ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’. Aside from their ambition on the court, it appears James and Westbrook are making waves in the entertainment world.

Legendary rapper Nas dropped the music video for his song ‘Brunch On Sundays’, off his latest album ‘King’s Disease II’. In the video, Lakers’ superstars LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are spotted sitting next to Nas at a lavish brunch table.

James and Westbrook aren’t the only LA basketball players to make it into a music video. Recently, Kawhi Leonard appeared in Drake’s ‘Way 2 Sexy’ music video, comedically dancing alongside Drake, Future, and Young Thug.

James appearing in Nas’ video comes as no surprise. The two have been very close for quite some time, because of how big a fan LeBron is of Nas. As for Westbrook, his connection to Nas isn’t that strong, but maybe the association with James helped Westbrook land a spot in the video.
