The Atlanta Hawks upset the Philadelphia 76ers, and that was a result not many expected, given it was a matchup between a No. 5 overall seed and a No. 1 overall seed. The 76ers were expected to win by most people, including themselves.
Jason Dumas has recently reported that the 76ers ownership group is disappointed by the way their team performed. It seems as though some sort of change is coming, as Dumas reported that the ownership group wants “answers and changes” in the wake of the team’s defeat.
Three days later, there is still a high sense of embarrassment reasonating through Sixers HQ in Camden, NJ. The ownership group wants answers and changes. A loss to Mil or Bkn would have been disappointing but acceptable. This was not.

Dumas also confirmed Stephen A. Smith’s earlier report, which cast doubt on how strongly the front office viewed work ethic. Dumas also suggested that the 76ers are now willing to trade him, but only for the right price.
Simmons was made available for a possible Harden trade but there were plenty in the building who disagreed. The tides have shifted. However the Sixers will not trade him just to trade him. If the value isn’t there in return, he will be back.

While the 76ers deservedly get a lot of criticism for their loss, they were still a solid regular-season team that could run it back next season. However, it seems as though the ownership is looking for answers in order to compete, and perhaps that could involve roster moves.
