The Boston Celtics recently lost to the Denver Nuggets, 111-123. This is a game where the team was overall disappointing, despite solid performances from stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. It is clear that the team still has a lot to work on, even though they’ve been amazing overall this season.

After the game, Jaylen Brown delivered a bold take despite his team losing. He claimed that it is good for the Denver Nuggets that the Boston Celtics won’t be playing them again, and it is clear that Jaylen Brown believes that they would win that hypothetical matchup if it happened. During the game, Jaylen Brown notably got into an altercation with Bones Hyland, and he is obviously not a huge fan of his opponents.

We don’t get to play them again, so that’s good for them.

The Boston Celtics did manage to beat the Denver Nuggets earlier in the season in a blowout, and it is easy to see where Jaylen Brown gets his confidence. Both teams are threats to make the NBA Finals this year, and perhaps we will see them face off on the highest stage in the playoffs. It would certainly be a fun matchup, especially after these comments from Jaylen Brown.

The Boston Celtics Could Win The Championship This Year

There is no doubt that the Boston Celtics are a good basketball team this year, and they have the talent to win it all. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are a fantastic duo, and they have even been compared to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Jayson Tatum recently responded to the comparison, roasting media members for saying that one of him or Jaylen Brown should have been traded, then turning around and saying they’re comparable to the legendary Bulls duo.

Tatum asked about how the Jays are putting up numbers comparable to MJ and Pippen: “Last year y’all wanted to trade one of us, now you’re saying Mike and Scottie. We’re not as bad as you said but we’re not as good as Mike and Scottie.”

Obviously, it is way too early to compare Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. The Celtics duo have to win some championships before that comparison can reasonably be made, as Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are the most accomplished duo in terms of winning rings.

With that being said, it is clear that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are doing something right to earn those comparisons. Hopefully, they can win a championship this year, and we’ll see how they do for the rest of the season.
