Celtics star Jaylen Brown reportedly had to have stitches on his hand after cutting it on a glass vase while watering his plants.
In a career year, Brown has been key to the Celtics’ success but he is expected to be ready for the playoffs.

Jaylen will obviously play through the injury, but one has to wonder how much his hand will bother him over the next few weeks. As a right-handed player, Brown is going to be using that arm a lot and there are concerns that his shot could be compromised as a result of the accident.
Either way, it’s not good news for the Cs, who have cooled off a bit from their scorching hot start to the season.
Could Jaylen Brown Leave The Celtics Next Summer?
After years under the Brown/Tatum regime, there is a sense that things could change if they flame out early in the playoffs this season. While Jaylen is the secondary option to Tatum, he has been key to their success of late and there are rumblings he could be looking for a way out when his contract expires.
“Something is going on in that locker room or in that organization because he is giving me all the signs that he wants out of Boston,” said Kendrick Perkins. “Whether it’s him addressing the fanbase, whether it’s him basically talking about, let’s see how much the organization really value me because my name is in trade rumors every single year. And not only do you lose Ime Udoka, you also lose Damon Stoudemire, who was kind of like that real one that they could come to him, or he could kind of be like, ‘Hey man, stop f*****g around, you bulls******g’ He’s not on that bench no more.”
If things don’t go well for Boston, it could have major implications for the future. But, for now, all they can do is take it one game at a time and hope for the best.
Coming off a run to the NBA Finals, there is reason to believe that the Celtics can win it all, but they’ll need both Tatum and Jaylen Brown at full strength to do so.
