If you ask any current or former NBA player about what’s the biggest goal that they want to achieve in the league, you will probably get the same answer. It’s to win at least one NBA Championship throughout the course of their careers in the league.

Winning a ring is one of the best feelings for any basketball player. Moreover, if a player wins a title, it certainly has a positive impact on the legacy that they will leave behind after retiring from the NBA.

This season, the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics have locked horns in hopes of lifting the glorious Larry O’Brien trophy. Currently, the series is tied at 1-1 with Game 3 of the series soon to be played.

On one hand, many players from the Warriors have already experienced what it feels like to win the NBA Championship. But on the other hand, the current Celtics roster is quite young and most of the players are playing their first NBA Finals of their careers.

If the Celtics want to defeat the Warriors in this best-of-seven NBA Finals series, then their superstar Jayson Tatum needs to bring his A-game to the table in each fixture. Speaking of Tatum, he recently talked about the importance of winning a ring in an interview.

“I’ve seen there’s a huge debate: is he a superstar, is he not? I want to know where that came from. Did I tweet that? Did I ever say that I’m a superstar or I’m on the verge? That never came from me, but it’s been a big deal this last year and a half to two years. And I see it all the time. If you win a championship, they can debate a lot of things, but they can’t debate whether or not you’re a champion.”

As Tatum perfectly explained, winning a championship forever shuts up the doubters of players in at least one aspect.

But can JT lead his team to an NBA Championship this season? They certainly have the talent to do so. Whether they will succeed or not in their quest to win a ring, we will find out soon.
