  • A fan wanted to play 1-on-1 with Jimmy Butler
  • Butler hilariously turned him down because the Heat star didn’t think the fan had the money
  • Butler said he’d only play when there’s money involved

Jimmy Butler has earned over $200 million in salaries in 12 seasons in the NBA, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to do something for free. When a fan recently requested that Butler play 1-on-1 with him, the Miami Heat star hilariously turned him down.

“I know you don’t make enough to play me 1-on-1,” Butler said. “… 1-on-1 is personal. How much money you got?”

When the fan stated he was broke, Butler hilariously said, “I’m not broke so I’m not playing. Nope! I’m only playing for money. If we ain’t playing for money, don’t ask me to play. We playing for money!”

It’s going to cost a whole lot if you want that opportunity.

Butler organized a basketball camp for kids where they could play 1-on-1 against him for $699 recently. If it was going to cost a kid that much, you can imagine how much the 33-year-old would ask from an adult.

The Heat star just had a phenomenal postseason run where he averaged 26.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game, and you’d better fork up a lot of cash if you want to play him 1-on-1.

Jimmy Butler Hilariously Rejected A Little Girl’s Request

This individual here wasn’t the only one to hilariously have a request turned down by Butler. Jazyl Guerra, a famous teen reporter, asked him earlier this month to lower the price of his “Big Face Coffee”, as the six-time All-Star was charging $20 for a cup

Butler hilariously refused the kid’s request and said he’d charge her $25 instead of $20 for it. He also said her father would have to pay $50.

Hey, he’s just a businessman doing business. Interestingly, Big Face Coffee was just an informal side business that Butler began in the Bubble as he sold coffee to his teammates. He’s spread it out now as a lifestyle brand as well and is having a lot of success.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
