Jimmy Butler To LeBron James: “You’re In Trouble.”

2 Min Read

In what many are calling “the greatest upset in NBA Finals history,” the Miami Heta took a game against the Lakers down 0-2, without two best players, and with literally every expert, analyst, and spectator having predicted they’d lose.

The odds were stacked against them in almost every way, but somehow they still pulled out a 115-104 victory.

No doubt, this was a game that the Lakers should have won, but Miami earned it on their own, thanks in large part to the miraculous play of Jimmy Butler. With 40 points, 13 assists, 11 rebounds on 70% shooting, he was an absolute monster tonight — and he wasn’t afraid to let his competition know it.

Late in the fourth quarter, after Butler secured a bucket that basically put the game out of reach, he handed LeBron a personal warning: “You’re in trouble!”

The details behind Jimmy’s words are a bit cloudy. Was he speaking in the moment? Was he talking about the series? Whatever the case, it was later revealed that it was actually in response to LeBron, who told Butler the Heat were “in trouble” at the end of the first.

The only thing we can be sure of is that Jimmy meant every word. Each night, the Heat bring their best to the court and if Butler has another game like today, with the return of Bam and/or Dragic to back him up, there will be hell to pay for the Lakers.

Looks like we’ll have to buckle up and get ready for the ride.
