Julius Randle has had a spectacular breakout this year during the regular season, with a lot of people lauding his ability to bring the New York Knicks to the playoffs. He transformed himself into an offensive engine that could carry a team, and drastically improved his shooting. However, due to his subpar performances in the playoffs, there are many people who have questioned Julius Randle’s ability to replicate his play next season.

One playoff run certainly doesn’t define a player, and there’s definitely a good chance that Julius Randle follows up this season with another strong one. Many stars have had bad performances in the playoffs, only to bounce back the very next season. Julius Randle is certainly not entertaining any “fluke” season talks. In a recent video of Randle shared by Twitter account Knicks Videos, Randle slammed his haters and stated that anyone who watched his career knows that he’s improved every season he’s been in the league.

What does Julius Randle say to people that think last year was a fluke?

“I think people who say that really just don’t know s–t about me. If you watched my career, and you watched me play every year, I’ve gotten better. That just to speaks to my mindset and who I am as a player. If you think that, have fun with that take.”

It seems as though Julius Randle is committed to further improving his play on the court, on top of the massive improvements he made this season. Becoming a drastically better shooter and a point forward in one offseason definitely wasn’t an easy task, and it speaks a lot to Randle’s work ethic. While we don’t yet know how the New York Knicks will do next season quite yet, it seems as though Randle is going to do his part in improving his game, and hopefully, they can build on their playoff appearance from this season.
