Kareem Abdul-Jabbar On Who Would Win A 1-On-1 Matchup Between Prime Kareem vs. Current Giannis: “That Would Have Been An Interesting Matchup If I Could Have Learned All The Requisite Skills.”

2 Min Read

With Giannis Antetokounmpo having a terrific playoff run with the Milwaukee Bucks, people started comparing him to the team’s legends, especially Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The big man gave the Bucks their first and only NBA title, and now Giannis is trying to emulate him.

Therefore, it’s not crazy to see people wondering what could have happened if Giannis and Kareem went at it, both in their primes. The 6x NBA champion was asked this question, and he kept it real.

“I have no idea. I’m a little bit taller than Giannis, so that might help. That would have been an interesting matchup if I could have learned all the requisite skills.”

Whenever he speaks, people listen. Kareem is one of the wisest NBA players ever, and he keeps demonstrating that. It would’ve been interesting to watch him go against Antetokounmpo on the court, but that will never happen.

Meanwhile, the Greek Freak is trying to make history with the Bucks, winning their first NBA championship in 50 years after Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson took the team to the promised land in 1971.

Right now, KAJ is rooting for the 2x NBA MVP, who has struggled to win in past seasons. After all these years, Giannis is one game away from becoming an NBA champion, silencing his doubters and sign his name as one of the greatest Bucks ever.
