The Minnesota Timberwolves made the playoffs by claiming the last available spot in the Western Conference. They defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in their second play-in game and the vibes around the team suddenly felt good again.

After Rudy Gobert punched Kyle Anderson, there was a lot of tension surrounding the Minnesota Timberwolves, but the win seems to have alleviated that. And during the press conference, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mike Conley shared a funny moment.

“That’s the kind of attention to detail you got to have. You can’t just go home and play video games. This is the time to do a little extra work,” Mike Conley said.

Karl-Anthony Towns then interrupted the press conference as it was ending, saying, “We playing Call Of Duty or what, Mike?” This is extra hilarious considering what Conley just said during the press conference.

Conley had a response ready for Towns as well, brilliantly saying, “Watch some film first. Then we’ll see.”

Mike Conley was brought in to provide playmaking and a veteran presence on the roster and this is an excellent example of that. The Minnesota Timberwolves have young stars, and it’s not easy for them to stay focused or disciplined. And it’s clear that while Conley clearly has fun with his teammates, he also keeps them in line.

Mike Conley Was Asked About Call Of Duty As Soon As He Joined The Minnesota Timberwolves

Karl-Anthony Towns is still a bit older, he is 27 at the moment. But arguably the main star of the Wolves now is Anthony Edwards, who is just 21. And Conley realized just how youthful the Timberwolves really are when he joined them, revealing that Call Of Duty was the first thing that came up when he spoke to Ant

“Mike Conley was talking about the youth on the Timberwolves roster, and he mentioned one of the first things Anthony Edwards said to him, ‘You play Call of Duty?'”

The Timberwolves will need all of Conley’s wisdom and expertise if they are to make any noise against the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs. The team needs to play mature basketball, and their preparation will have to be perfect. With Game 1 on Sunday, it remains to be seen how they will fare against the top team in the Western Conference.
