Kawhi Leonard On Clippers Winning Game 7: “We Just Fought Hard… We Know What Type Of Team We Were.”

The Los Angeles Clippers have recently defeated the Dallas Mavericks in a long-fought series. Despite the best efforts of Luka Doncic, there is no question that the Mavericks simply had a less talented roster than the Los Angeles Clippers. Throughout the season, we’ve seen players throughout the roster step up in crucial moments and Game 7 was no different.

Kawhi Leonard has recently commented on winning Game 7 and has even stated that the Los Angeles Clippers always knew that they were a team that could get it done. Sometimes, the key is simply not giving up.

We just fought hard. We never gave up. We know what type of team we were… We did it on the defensive end. We came back… The whole series we had to lock in on him (Luka). He’s a phenomenal player… You can’t just pick one game to lock-in. You have to stay focused throughout the whole series. If its 7 games or 4 games.

It is clear that the Los Angeles Clippers have always had the potential to win this series, it just took longer than most people originally expected. The Utah Jazz will be a tougher challenge, as they were the No. 1 seed this season. Hopefully, we see more amazing Kawhi Leonard performances in the second-round against the Jazz.
