Kendrick Perkins After Lakers’ Blowout Loss To Timberwolves: “They Ain’t Need LeBron Tonight They Needed Jesus Christ Himself!”

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered the worst loss of the season on Friday night, succumbing to the Minnesota Timberwolves 107-83 at Staples Center. The purple and gold had no answer for the T-Wolves, who demolished them in the 3rd quarter, outscoring them 40-12.

It was a terrible look for the Lakers, who can’t catch a break. They have struggled to find their touch this season and fans aren’t happy with their performances. Russell Westbrook has received the most criticism, but nobody is safe from it.

With LeBron James sidelined, the Lakers have a big job to do. The 17-time NBA champions have big expectations for this season, yet things haven’t gone in their favor in the early stages of the campaign.

Everybody has something to say about these Lakers, including Kendrick Perkins, who blasted them after the game, claiming they needed more than just LeBron James on Friday night. The former player-turned-analyst took to Twitter to express his frustration with the Lakers.

“The Lakers ain’t need Bron tonight they needed Jesus Christ himself! Carry on…” Perkins tweeted.

The Lakers indeed need to do something drastic to turn things around. They have the pieces to win it all this season, but they’re not clicking. Frank Vogel has a big problem in his hands and almost one month into the competition, he hasn’t figured it out.

Meanwhile, the fans are growing unhappy with the squad. They boast a 7-6 record right now, ranking 7th in the Western Conference standings. The San Antonio Spurs visit them today as they try to bounce back following the embarrassing loss to the T-Wolves.

Perkins expressed exactly what Lakers Nation felt watching that team on Friday. Things could get horrible for the purple and gold if they can’t solve their issues.
