Kendrick Perkins Defends LeBron James After He Walked Off The Court With 10 Seconds Left

2 Min Read

LeBron James is one of the greatest players of all time and that goes without saying. However, he’s still heavily criticized for, well, pretty much everything he does or doesn’t.

Luckily for him, he always has his former teammate – and apparently, close friend – Kendrick Perkins to have his back and defend him any time someone has even something slightly negative to say about The King, even when he shows poor sportsmanship by walking off the court with 10 seconds left on the clock:

“Oh Please…what you wanted him to do go congratulate Jimmy Butler for serving them a 40 piece wing dinner tonight?! Carry on…” Perkins tweeted.

Obviously, LeBron has been heavily criticized recently because of this behavior, even though he admitted that he thought the game was over already:

Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time that we’ve seen something like this. Isiah Thomas did it, Kobe Bryant did it. They deserved to be called out, but maybe we shouldn’t blow things out of proportion.

We’re talking about the NBA Finals here and a potential legacy-defining moment for LeBron James, who has more at stakes this time than any other time on his life.

We get it, the animosity tends to get really high at that stage, it only shows how much it matters to him, even though you should never bail on your teammates and must end until you hear the buzzer before you walk away.

LeBron and the Lakers will have another chance to put the Heat against the Wall on Tuesday and hopefully, LeBron will stay on the court until the end of the game.
