The Brooklyn Nets had a roller coaster of an offseason. With their biggest superstar in Kevin Durant demanding a trade, all signs pointed toward the Nets blowing up the superteam they had built in the last couple of years. With Durant’s departure looking likely and Kyrie Irving only having a year left on his deal, many Nets fans were worried that Brooklyn was done for good.
But with teams failing to match Brooklyn’s demands, a trade never materialized for KD. Seeing the lack of offers, the forward also settled his differences with the Nets management and is now set to stay with the team. While KD and Co. did end up being blown off the first round, they have a much better supporting cast now, and staying with the team might end up working out after all.

The Kevin Durant trade saga was definitely a wild ride for the Nets. While their turbulent last season was seen as one of the major reasons, teammate Kyrie Irving missing games due to the vaccination mandate was seen as the other reason why KD wanted a change of scenario.
But it seems ever since KD decided to stay, he has had a change of heart about his teammate. Although things looked promising on media day with the duo laughing with one another, the latest training session might have just confirmed that the duo is in high spirits.

Shooting the ball and then hitting an epic celebration, it seems like the vibes are immaculate in the Nets camp right now.
For a team that is star-studded, it is great to see that KD and Kyrie are having fun in the preseason training. Not only that, the two stars are looking in peak shape right now. While the return of Ben Simmons is a welcome sign, there is no doubt that Kyrie and Durant are the two most important players in this Nets lineup.
If Brooklyn wants to challenge for the title once again, it will depend on the duo’s health. Can KD and Kyrie finally lead the Nets to the promised land?
