Kevin Durant Appears To Joke About Andre Iguodala’s Twitter Controversy During NBA Restart

Kevin Durant isn’t playing in the NBA bubble as he keeps recovering from a torn ACL he picked during the 2019 NBA Finals. However, KD is watching the NBA restart and he made it clear that he’s aware of everything happening around the league right now. On Thursday night, during the Pelicans game, KD sent a tweet that seemed like a subtle for Andre Iguodala and his recent exchange on Twitter with a WNBA player.

“#14 is a different breed..,” KD wrote.

In case you haven’t heard of it, Andre Iguodala was called out by Aerial Powers, a WNBA player who plays as forward for the Washington Mystics. On Tuesday, Iggy mentioned Powers’ numbers in a tweet, praising her after a 27-point performance.

“Numbers 23 from the Mystics is nice!!!,” the 2015 NBA Finals MVP wrote.

Put some respect on my name or keep this tweet to yourself!! https://t.co/xFtU8f7KWp

However, the tweet didn’t sit well with the player, who asked Iggy to name her or “keep the tweet for himself.”

After the game, Powers released a statement talking about how Iggy skipping his name was a big offense for the players’ hard work.

Iguodala only replied ‘no manners’ without even mentioning her and his rants.

…no manners

Now KD appeared to have fun with that. He didn’t clarify who he was talking about but yesterday, the only #14 on both teams during the Jazz-Pelicans game was Brandon Ingram, who was ballin. Ingram and KD have similar body types and the comparisons between them are always there. Now their game and their performances are very similar and KD couldn’t help but send a shootout to BI.

What stance he was taking on Iggy’s exchange, we don’t know, but they were teammates in Golden State so it’s hard to think that KD was trying to take a shot at Iguodala. Yet, is KD we’re talking about here, so you never know.
