Kevin Durant never shies away from getting into heated arguments with NBA fans on Twitter. Many even look up to Durant’s interesting encounters with fans.

With the offseason in full flow, Durant has a lot of time on his hands to engage with fans. He recently posted a series of tweets explaining why offense is more important than defense in the league.

“Seems like NBA Twitter hates offense,” he wrote in one tweet.

“You playmake to what??? Set up a Score,” KD said in another tweet.

“But to win a basketball game you need to score more than your opponent,” he responded to a fan who claimed defense was more important in the playoffs.

“But love defenders who defend and bring nothing else?” Durant questioned a fan.

Durant is viewed as one of the best offensive players in NBA history. It’s no surprise that he prefers scoring to playing defense.

The Slim Reaper also believes offense wins NBA Championships not defense. At the end of the day, both aspects of the game are important. As of now, Durant is on an offense-heavy team in the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, who change the outcome of any game with their elite scoring.

Kevin Durant Claims He’s Egoless

When Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors in 2016, he became a villain in the eyes of most fans. After all, he joined a superteam of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Greens.

Since then, many view him as a snake and someone who hops superteams to win rings. Considering he has played for three teams in the last five seasons, many believe he is an uncoachable player. But KD cleared the air about this speculation.

“I’m the most egoless and coachable player in sports. You’ve been brainwashed.”

Durant will be entering the 16th season of his phenomenal career and will try to win the third NBA title of his career. He averaged 29.1 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 5.0 APG last season but played just 47 games.
