Kevin Durant On Teaming Up With Kyrie Irving: “The All-Star Game Video Where They Caught Us In The Hallway. That’s When It Was Solidified That We Were Going Somewhere. They Didn’t Know For A Fact Where It Was, But It Was Somewhere.”

Ever since Kevin Durant got into that heated altercation with Draymond Green, it became pretty obvious that his days with the Golden State Warriors were numbered, with countless possible destinations looming around for the 2-time Finals MVP.

There were plenty of rumors about his potential next step but no one knew for sure what was about to happen. Some even claimed that the Dubs would look to move Draymond Green to keep him on board, something that, obviously, was never on the table.

People claimed that Durant was heading to the New York Knicks because he had business in The Big Apple. However, his arrival to the Brooklyn Nets was on his mind long before the end of the season, as he recently told The Boardroom:

“The All-Star game video where they caught us in the hallway. That’s when it was solidified that we were going somewhere. They didn’t know for a fact where it was, but it was somewhere,” Durant said.

We hate to break it to you, KD, but that wasn’t much of a secret. You guys were on everybody’s mouth after that hallway video and it was pretty obvious that Kyrie Irving wasn’t going to stay with the Boston Celtics beyond that season.

Now, Durant will try and silence his critics once again when he comes back at full strength next season, and that duo with Kyrie Irving has the potential of being historically great, especially if the Brooklyn Nets end up making another move this offseason as expected.
