Kyrie Irving proved last night why he is considered the most skilled player in NBA history. Kyrie scored 60 points against the Orlando Magic, in what is the best offensive performance of his career until now. The former NBA champion showed just why he is one of the most respected players on the court, and his teammate Kevin Durant asked everyone to go watch his performance again.

After Kyrie Irving’s incredible 60-point game, Kevin Durant took to Twitter to tell the world how great Irving was. KD said that Kyrie put on a class and that anyone who ever doubted him in the past, or is undervaluing his performance on the night should go and watch his scoring outburst once again.

No one can take away anything from Kyrie’s performance. The fact that he scored more than 2/3rd of his points (41) by halftime just goes to show how spectacular he was on the night. In fact, Kyrie left the game with 60 points when there were 8 minutes left. If he had stayed in the game, there is a good chance he could have surpassed Kobe Bryant’s 81-point mark from 2006.

Irving is only allowed to play away games for the Nets right now, as the New York vaccine mandate still disallows him from playing at the Barclays Center. The Nets and the NBA do seem to disagree with the change in mandate, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they made a push to overturn that decision sometime soon.

Having Irving available entirely for the playoffs will be a big boost for the Nets. On top of that, Nets head coach Steve Nash also confirmed that Ben Simmons could possibly return this season. Having three of their best players on the court during the playoffs would give the Nets a pretty good chance to win the NBA championship.
