Kevin Durant Says He Still Uses Burner Account To Respond To Haters

2 Min Read

Kevin Durant has revealed he’s not planning to stop using his burner account anytime soon. KD was caught using a ‘burner’ account a while ago and this has been a recurrent topic when discussing his antics off the floor.

A burner account is slang for an anonymous social-media profile to hide your identity so you can freely share and comment online. That said, KD has admitted he still uses an anonymous account to make comebacks to his haters.

Via Dan Feldman in NBC Sports’ Pro Basketball Talk:

I’m still going to do the burner thing. I’m still going to do that.

Certain people, I’m going to come back on my regular account. But if I’m just trying to do my thing, I want to dip in, you know what I mean? I got the burner.

I just slipped up that one time. You know why I slipped up.

It’s very unlikely to see Durant returning to the floor this season, as he’s still recovering from an Achilles injury. He’s expected to make his debut with the Brooklyn Nets next campaign, hoping to take the team to the promised land alongside Kyrie Irving.

Meanwhile, he’ll continue taking shots at his haters.
