New York Post

Kevin Durant is one of the most lethal scorers that the NBA has seen. He has every shot in his arsenal, and his ability to score proficiently in the midrange is well documented. Durant is also extremely efficient, which makes his scoring that much more valuable.

A recent post by basketball Instagram page Sideline Sources showed Kevin Durant’s shot chart. The chart showed that Kevin Durant has been extremely good from every area except the left corner, but that can be explained by the fact that he’s only taken one shot from that area. A lot of NBA fans commented on the post, with many praising Kevin Durant’s elite shot-making.

Kevin Durant is currently averaging 29.4 PPG, 8.4 RPG, and 5.2 APG while shooting 58.9% from the field and 43.3% from beyond the arc. Durant’s current FG% is the highest for his career and his 3PT percentage is the 2nd highest it’s ever been. There’s no doubt that Kevin Durant has elevated his game even further this season, and the Brooklyn Nets have needed that from him early amidst Kyrie Irving’s absence and James Harden’s early struggles. Some believe that Kevin Durant is the greatest scorer ever, and this chart shows why they have that opinion.

Hopefully, we see this amazing shooting continue. Kevin Durant is one of the most entertaining players to watch, and his ability to score on any defender is astounding. Most of the time, Kevin Durant’s looks are extremely contested due to the attention he receives from the opposing defense. However, as the chart shows, that hasn’t affected his shot creation.

The Brooklyn Nets are currently 2nd in the Eastern Conference, and if they continue to be a top seed, perhaps we’ll see Kevin Durant win his 2nd MVP award. As of now, his play has put him solidly in that conversation.
