Klay Thompson Trolls The Grizzlies On Instagram With A Story Of A Fan Holding A Banner Which Says “Freakin’ Bum”

Klay Thompson and the rest of the Golden State Warriors had a blast at their trophy parade to celebrate their 2022 title triumph. The Warriors defied long pre-season odds to get their hands on their 4th title in 8 seasons and they had been keeping receipts on all that was being said during this season.

Klay, in particular, took offense to a tweet from Jaren Jackson Jr of the Memphis Grizzlies. Jackson had tweeted the Warriors’ motto of “Strength in numbers” after the Grizzlies had defeated a depleted Golden State team all the way back in March and Klay had not forgotten that slight. After winning the title, he said “I can’t wait to retweet that thing. Freakin’ bum.” Fast forward now to the parade, where Klay saw a fan hold up a banner that said “Freakin’ Bum” and he couldn’t resist trolling the Grizzlies with it on Instagram.

This might lead to more drama on social media, just like when Klay first made the remark after the Finals. Ja Morant said the Grizzlies were in the Warriors’ heads which led to a back and forth with Draymond Green. It went on with Ja wanting the NBA to schedule a Christmas Day game between these sides and we do seem to have a budding rivalry on our hands.

There was a lot of bad blood between the sides after Draymond Green was ejected in Game 1 of their series and Dillion Brooks’ play on Gary Payton II that fractured his elbow, only made things worse. The Warriors ended up prevailing in that series after Morant missed the last few games and he felt that they would have won the title if he was healthy. We now have all the ingredients for an epic rivalry, with the upstart Grizzlies looking to dethrone the dynastic Warriors next season.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
