Kobe Bryant’s Instagram Page Makes First Post Since His Death

2 Min Read

COVID-19 isn’t the first tragedy to hit the NBA this season. One of the most heartbreaking moments of the year came January 26th, when 5x Champion and iconic NBA superstar Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash.

After memorials, ceremonies, and fan tributes, the NBA community came together to celebrate the life of the basketball legend. Months later, however, and we are seeing the very first post on his Instagram page since his death.

It was posted by his wife, Vanessa, to promote the release of The Wizenard Series: Season One on Tuesday.

“Welcome back to Dren!,” the post reads. “We hope you are all ready to catch up with the West Bottom Badgers for another magical basketball season. The #Wizenard Series: Season One is OUT NOW.”

Vanessa issued a follow-up post that read:

I created @Granity Studios as a way of teaching valuable life lessons to the next generation. Our stories represent a competitive mindset about being the best at what you do. The principles built within #EPOCA: The Tree of Ecrof inspire, motivate, and encourage those who are looking to harness their inner magic – or #grana. EPOCA is available Nov. 12 wherever you buy or listen to books. Click the link in my bio to pre-order.

Obviously, this was a project that Kobe was behind. The series, which offers a unique mix of basketball and Harry Potter, gives kids a fun way to learn about important life lessons.

Obviously, inspiring the next generation was something The Mamba was all about. And it’s great to see some activity on his page, even if it’s not from him personally.
