The Lakers just went 2-0 in the most important weekend of the regular season. Just two days after beating Milwaukee, the Lakers bested their inter-city rivals 112-103 behind the dominance of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

In regards to the former, his play was noticed by his teammate Kyle Kuzma, who placed a “crown” on top of his head with victory assured.

The 35-year-old superstar was inspiring in the win. He posted 28 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds.

Kuzma’s move was a clear reference to LeBron’s place in the NBA. With many ready to give up on the Laker veteran, he is proving he can still perform at a high level. This season has been his redemption story.

For the season, James is averaging 25.6 points, 10.7 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game on 49% shooting.

While he is still trailing Giannis in the MVP race, nobody should count him out of the conversation.
