Over the last decade or so, the Washington Wizards have been stuck in mediocrity. Previously, the keys to the franchise belonged to John Wall. But since his trade, the keys have been handed to Bradley Beal.
Considering the Wizards heavily rely on Bradley Beal‘s capabilities to lead the team to victory, there are times when the offense of the team looks a bit too stagnant. The most recent example of it was the 120-122 defeat of the Wizards at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks. Wizards star Kyle Kuzma was asked about his thoughts on whether the team’s offense has become too predictable in the fourth quarter.
“For sure. For sure. But at the end of the day, that’s what we live and die with,” said Kuzma. “It’s cool because a lot of times, we have the ball in the fourth, and it’s Brad’s ball. It’s his time in the fourth, and it’s his team, so we just live and die by it, and it’s cool. Whatever happens, you just live with it.”

Defining a leader for the team come complicated situations is an important job for any franchise. For the Wizards, Bradley Beal is that player, and it feels like the rest of the players are fine with it.
But Kyle Kuzma’s response could also be interpreted as the 27-year-old showing a bit of frustration with the lack of changes in the Wizards’ offense during the fourth quarter.
Should The Wizards Move On From Bradley Beal?
Bradley Beal is one of the best offensive players in the NBA, and he has been for quite some time. But when it comes to leading the Washington Wizards to success in the postseason, Beal has failed to do so.
Keeping that in mind, many have wondered if it’s finally time for the Wizards to move on from him. On the same note, there are rumors about Bradley Beal being done with the Wizards as well.
“I’m patient, but there comes a time where you have to be a little selfish and draw a line in the sand, for sure. So, I have thoughts in my head but at the same time I stay in the moment. I stay engaged with what we have and what we do and don’t get caught up in noise and just go from there, take it a day at a time, control what I can control.”
Beal dropped this interview last month, and since then, no one knows for how long he will remain a part of the Washington Wizards post the 2022-23 NBA season.
