Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, And Montrezl Harrell Are Eligible To Be Traded From Next Monday

The Washington Wizards were able to secure a huge haul during the offseason this year. As part of the Russell Westbrook trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Wizards opened up the deal and made it a 4-team trade.

In exchange for Russell Westbrook, the Wizards got Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and Spencer Dinwiddie, among other assets. The fact that the Wizards were able to flip John Wall’s massive contract within 2 years and secure an incredible haul is truly commendable work from their front office.

The Wizards have a nice young roster that can make some noise in the Eastern Conference. Players like Kyle Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie have a lot of potential but have been on teams where superstars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, or James Harden play their position.

But the Lakers trio may not get a chance to play in Washington come next week. Kyle Kuzma, KCP, and Montrezl Harrell are all eligible to be traded from Monday, September 27th. And while the Wizards have not given any indications of what their plans are with these players, that doesn’t guarantee that they will stick around.

Going into the next season, the Wizards will be looking to significantly improve their performances. Wizards’ All-Star Bradley Beal is entering the final year of his contract. And while he has stated again and again that he doesn’t want to leave the Wizards, he could change his mind if he doesn’t see some significant improvement from them.

Beal has openly rejected the idea of demanding a trade. But that may just be because he wants to keep his options open heading into free agency. Not all teams will have the assets to bring him in, and perhaps he would be able to secure a better deal. So perhaps the Wizards might trade these assets to pair him with another superstar.
