  • Elon Musk suggested that X, formerly known as Twitter, would help fund legal bills for people treated unfairly by their employer
  • Kyrie Irving took a shot at the NBA by replying to the post with a cryptic GIF
  • Kyrie Irving then clarified that he was only indulging in satirical humor and that he is at peace

Kyrie Irving has gotten into trouble in the past for liking and posting things on social media. One of the most famous cases was during his time with the Brooklyn Nets when he got involved in a controversy regarding anti-Semitic behavior.

Elon Musk, who recently changed Twitter to X, made a post offering to legally help people that were treated unfairly by their employers for liking or posting something on the platform. And Kyrie Irving shared a GIF in response that seemed like a shot at the NBA.

The 31-year-old then went on to clarify his position, saying he was only engaging in satire, writing, “Don’t take my GIF too seriously folks. I love Satirical Humor and I am at peace with everything that’s happened in my life.”

Kyrie Irving often posts cryptic messages and media on social platforms, so this wasn’t exactly something unexpected from the Dallas Mavericks star. The fact that he cleared up that he was joking also makes it easier for him, as speculation won’t carry on about what he meant.

Kyrie Irving Often Posts About Social Causes And Ideologies He Believes In

For better or worse, very few players use social media to the extent that Kyrie Irving does. He often uses his platform to share images and messages about society and the state of the world to raise awareness about various issues. He recently made a post seemingly exposing the lies that democracy and government have peddled to the masses.

Kyrie Irving signed a 3-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks, and while his social takes don’t have anything to do with the NBA, the franchise will be hoping that he doesn’t rub the league the wrong way. A suspension could be a big blow for the team as they hope to make another deep playoff run led by Luka Doncic and hopefully helped by Kyrie Irving.
